24/7 Mobile Emergency Road Service
One call, any hour. Our asset-based trucks roll to you roadside, at the dock, or in the yard — and our partner vendor network stands behind them so no one stays stranded.
On-site, done right.
When a commercial vehicle breaks down on the side of the road, every minute of downtime has a direct cost — missed deliveries, late fees, stranded drivers, and idle freight. Interstate Fleet Services operates a 24/7 mobile emergency road service dispatching our own fully equipped trucks and trained technicians to your exact location. IFS is 100% asset-based — the truck you see pulling up is our truck, staffed by our people, backed by our partner vendor network to ensure no one stays stranded.
Our emergency road service is built specifically for commercial vehicles — Class 4 through Class 8 trucks, semi-tractors, straight trucks, and the trailers they pull. We arrive with the diagnostic tools, parts inventory, and hands-on experience to address the most common roadside failures on the spot: air system failures, no-start conditions, electrical faults, brake issues, tire events, and lighting violations that would pull a driver out of service.
Staying on the road is the entire mission. IFS emergency response is a direct line to dispatch, a confirmed ETA, and a technician who shows up ready to work. Whether your truck is sitting on an interstate shoulder at 2 a.m. or stalled at a customer's dock during peak receiving hours, we treat every call with the same urgency.

One call to back on the road.
Call & Dispatch
Call 1-888-589-9281 any time — day or night. Our dispatcher takes the vehicle location, unit number, and a description of what the driver is experiencing. An IFS technician is assigned and en route with an ETA confirmed before the call ends.
On-Site Assessment
Our technician arrives at the breakdown location with a fully stocked service truck. We assess the situation immediately — connecting diagnostic equipment, inspecting the reported complaint, and checking for any secondary conditions that could cause a repeat failure.
Roadside Repair
The majority of emergency road service calls are resolved on-site. We carry common parts and supplies so that air line repairs, electrical fixes, no-start diagnostics, minor brake work, and lighting corrections can be completed without a shop visit.
Return to Service or Safe Plan
Once repairs are complete, we verify the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before the driver pulls back onto the road. If a condition requires shop-level repair, we advise on the safest course of action and document the failure for your fleet maintenance records.
Emergency Road Service questions.
Does IFS respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
Yes. Interstate Fleet Services dispatches emergency road service around the clock, 365 days a year. Call 1-888-589-9281 any time and a live dispatcher will answer and get a technician moving to your location.
Is IFS 100% asset-based for emergency calls?
Yes. IFS deploys our own trucks and our own technicians as the primary response on every call. Our partner vendor network provides additional geographic reach so that no matter where your driver is, someone is coming — and we coordinate that response from start to finish.
What geographic area does IFS cover for emergency response?
Our mobile units serve a defined regional footprint. Call us at 1-888-589-9281 with your location and we will confirm coverage and give you an honest ETA before committing to the call.
What information should the driver have ready when calling in a breakdown?
Exact location (mile marker, cross street, or GPS coordinates), unit number or VIN, a brief description of the problem, and whether the truck is safely off the road. The more specific the driver can be, the faster we can dispatch and arrive prepared.
Can IFS handle breakdowns for leased or owner-operator units, not just company fleet trucks?
Yes. We work with fleet operators, owner-operators, and leased units. As long as the vehicle is a commercial truck or trailer in our coverage area, call us and we will handle it.
Broke down? We're already rolling.
